All The Things We Found

I was graciously given a copy of All The Things We Found by Kayla Tirrell in an exchange for a review.

A definite 5/5 stars for me!

From the moment Gwen was introduced in All The Things We Lost, I knew I wanted to know more about her. I wanted to know why she was so closed off from Katie. I wanted to know why she was so distant with Mitch even though it was clear from ATTWL that they had some sort of feelings for each other. This story did not disappoint at all when it came to explaining why Gwen is the way she is.

While I won’t spoil exactly why Gwen is the way she is, I will say the reasoning for it was so mind-blowing! It shocked me so much and kept me hooked on continuing to read the story until I was completely done.

Even the car accident, which I knew was coming from reading the synopsis of the book, shocked me. I wasn’t expecting to happen when it did and definitely wasn’t expecting it to happen how it did, let alone all the effect from the accident happening.

Gwen and Mitch are such memorable and lovable characters. While I loved and rooted for Katie and Julian throughout ATTWL, I love Gwen and Mitch so much more. I spent the whole hours (yes, only an hour!) rooting for them to realize how the other felt and also internally yelling at them when one of them was an idiot.

The character development has improved so much from ATTWL to this book. I even felt like the side characters that were only mentioned here and there were even more developed than in the first book in the series.

While reading through the story, I only found one small typo and even that wasn’t enough for me to have to stop and think about what was actually meant to be said. Another great improvement from All The Things We Lost.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed All The Things We Found. The characters were amazing, the story was so well thought out, and the pacing was great. I even loved the references to Doctor Who, that while I didn’t totally get because I don’t watch the show, I know others will definitely appreciate. I can’t wait to read the third book when it’s available! I’m sure it will be another great addition to the world Kayla Tirrell has created.
