What I’m Reading Wednesday – 8/15/18

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these, but I’m so glad to be getting back into the swing of things. I started these books earlier in the week and I’m slowly making my way through them, but enjoying all of them so much.

heir of fireThe first book I’m reading is Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas. I’m working my way through this series is preparation for Kingdom of Ash. While I had read Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight before, this is my first time reading Heir of Fire. I’m a little over halfway through it and enjoying it so much. The back and forth between characters was a little unexpected, but I’m actually enjoying how it’s making the story progress. Friends have told me this is where the series really picks up so I’m excited to keep reading to see how true that is.

34659293The second book I’m currently reading is Heretics Anonymous by Katie Henry. This is one of the book of the month’s for TBR and Beyond and one of the books where the author is joining us for a live chat to discuss her book. I’m only about a third of the way into Heretics Anonymous, but it has to be one of the funniest books I’ve read in a long time. I tab my books with post it flags most of the time and this one has gotten so many funny post its in only a third of the book. I’m excited to continue on and see what unfolds in this story.

dare you to lieThe last book I’m currently reading is Dare You to Lie by Amber Lynn Natusch. I received an ARC of this through Netgalley, but it’s also a book of the month for TBR and Beyond for September. Mystery/thrillers aren’t my typical genre that I read, but I’m loving this book so much. I’m only about 15% into the book, but I’m so hooked and can’t wait to read more. I am taking this book slower than I would most books just because I know it’s not a genre I would typically read, but do hope to finish it by this weekend.
