October TBR

September was crazy busy for me as we adjusted to new routines, but we’re finally adjusted and I’m ready to get back into a routine of blog posts!

For October, I’m participating in Reading Rivalry, which a monthly game where we’re split up into teams and have a list of criteria and we’re working together to win each month. This month the theme is Disney’s Wicked Women! The criteria for the month is:

1: Author Highlight (RL Stein, Kristin Hannah, Holly Black)
2: Book from Villain\Anti-Hero POV
3: Book with Goodreads rating >3.5
4: Book with Punctuation in the Title
5: Book by a Male Author
6: Book featuring the paranormal
7: Book that is a classic or classic retelling
8: Book featuring a strong female character
9: A book picked by someone else
10: Historical or Historical Fiction

I’m also taking part in the TBR and Beyond game, which is a Choose Your Own Path themed event. An amazing map has been created and you are able to choose any way you want to go as long as it’s a continuous path!

For this, I’v decided on this path:

  1. Dark Fantasy42850424_10156601996323965_2992821683884130304_n
  2. Black
  3. TBR Read
  4. Free
  5. Fae
  6. Mystery
  7. Creepy
  8. Scary Cover
  9. Thriller
  10. Witches

With those two challenges in mind, I was able to create a TBR list for October that is partially spooky, but will also be enjoyable for me.

  • The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
  • Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
  • Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
  • Scream All Night by Derek Milman
  • Renegades by Marissa Meyer
  • Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
  • Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
  • Say You’ll Remember Me by Katie McGarry
  • City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab
  • Brightly Burning by Alexa Donne
  • Outrun the Wind by Elizabeth Tammi
  • The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy Mackenzi Lee
  • Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young
  • Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
  • Nightbooks by J.A. White
  • Follow Me Back by A.V. Geiger
  • The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
