I just finished planning out my TBR last night, and I just want to say that I am SO EXCITED for February! I’ve got some really great reads picked out for this month, and I am so ready to just dive right in!
Full disclosure: this is the second TBR that I’ve planned for February, as an unexpected trip to the library derailed my original plans…but at least it wasn’t the bookstore, right?
I was originally planning to read a lot more contemporary novels so that I could participate in Contemporaryathon…but that just didn’t happen. That being said, I do still have a couple contemporary’s on my TBR, so it wasn’t a total waste! I’m also competing in Reading Rivalry again this month, so I wanted to make sure that my books would all fit into criteria for that, and I think I’ve accomplished that!
Reading Rivalry Criteria:
1.Author Highlight (Colleen Hoover, Sabaa Tahir, Jay Kristoff)
2. Love Triangle
3.Book That You Think Should Be a Movie
4. Book Featuring a Person of Color
5. A Satire
6. A Book Recommended by a Celebrity You Admire
7. A Red/Pink Spine
8. A Book Inspired by Asian Mythology, Legend, or Folklore
9. A Book You Wouldn’t Normally Pick Up
10. A Book Set In Highschool
The books I chose to read this month fit really well into the ten criteria, so here’s hoping I’m able to make it to all of them!
Gemina – Amie Kaufman/Jay Kristoff
Obsidio – Amie Kaufman/Jay Kristoff
Famous In a Small Town – Emma Mills
The Disasters – M.K. England
An Ember In The Ashes – Sabaa Tahir
Ogre Enchanted – Gail Carsen Levine
Beauty Queens – Libba Bray
Five Feet Apart – Rachael Lippincott
Spin the Dawn – Elizabeth Lim
Dark of The West – Joanna Hathaway
I’m really excited because I was even able to fit two of my ARC’s into criteria, so I’ll be able to put up reviews of Dark of the West and Spin the Dawn soon! I have a couple other ARC’s to read this month, too, so fingers crossed I can knock those off my list too!

Have you read any of the things I’m planning for February?
