Slytherin Five Star Predictions

It’s almost halfway through the year and I’m slowly realizing that some of the goals and challenges I gave to myself are just not working for me. I stopped picking from the lowest rated books a few months ago because I just wasn’t enjoying many of the ones I kept picking. I did find a couple that I really enjoyed, but the majority of what I read just wasn’t working for me.

I also unfortunately found myself not prioritizing the books each of my friends had picked for me to read. I do plan to try to read some of those books, but I’ve decided to scale back on how many and how often. I have a list of the ones that they picked for me and will choose from that if I think I need some different to read.

With those in mind, I’ve decided to make a small five star prediction list. On here will be five books that I think could be five star books and that I hope to read in the last six months of the year.

42867937The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young

I absolutely adored Sky in the Deep and since reading it the first time, I’ve reread it two more times. I never fail to be absolutely mesmerized by the world and the characters and I can only imagine the next book by her will be just as amazing. I was very excited when I was approved for an advanced copy of it and definitely can’t wait to get to it very soon!

36483378The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen

I feel so amazingly blessed to have an advanced copy of this book. This book has intrigued me for the longest time and when I was able to access it, I might have screamed a little. Just by the synopsis, I was hooked and couldn’t wait to read it. This is one that I’ll be shocked if it isn’t a five star read!

36683928Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim

I’m so excited about this book! This is another that I have an advanced copy of and feel so lucky to have it. The premise of this book sounds amazing! Project Runway meets Mulan? Yes, please! I really believe this will be as good as I’m hyping it up so be. Plus, that cover is absolutely stunning!

35098412 (1)The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross

This book has intrigued me for quite a while! I really think it could be a five star book for me. I haven’t heard many people talking about it, but I do own this one as well as the sequel and the premise of the book is very intriguing. I love the idea of each person having a passion and needing to be chosen by a patron. It sounds unique and amazing and I think I’ll love it.

35817737The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven

It wouldn’t be a five star prediction list from me if I didn’t have a contemporary on it. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about The Exact Opposite of Okay and definitely think it’s going to be a five star book for me. From what I know of the book it deals with important topics and I can’t wait to get to it soon!

What are the books you feel could be five star books for you?

  1. I have some of them on my TBR, but I also don’t have this feeling of picking it up soon. I’m not sure, but I’m hoping that the third book that I’m reading, What Lies Within by James Morris, would also be a 5-star from me same with his previous novels that I’d read before.
