The ‘I Should Have Read That Book’ Book Tag

Hey everybody! My life has been crazy the past few weeks! I found out that I’ll be moving, so it’s been a rush to get everything together and packed up and set in place for me to leave Ohio in two weeks! Crazy right?

Well, I’m back this week with another book tag, because you all know just how much I love those! This one can be found over at Books Nest! I was not tagged for this one, but I loved it, so I’m doing it anyway!

A Book That A Certain Friend Is Always Telling You To Read

That would be the Nevermoor series by Jessica Townsend. Felicia keeps bugging me to read this one, and while I own the first book, I just haven’t been able to a) fit it into my TBR for the month or 2) find the time in the month to read it once it is on my tbr (that sucker is LONG ok). It’s definitely one that I want to read, but it might be a while longer still.

A Book That Has Been On Your TBR Forever And Yet You Still Haven’t Picked It Up

Uhhhhh way too many to possibly count? If I’m being honest though, Wicked by Gregory McGuire is probably it. That book has been on by tbr for at least 8 years now, and I still haven’t read it. I finally bought the physical copy for myself last summer, but….it’s still in the plastic wrap. Oops.

A Book In A Series You’ve Started, But Haven’t Gotten Round To Finishing Yet

Again, there’s more than a couple for this one. The one that is sticking out the most for me though is Holly Black’s Folk of the Air series. I told myself I was waiting for the third book to be out before I read the second, but the second and third books have both been sitting on my shelf for months and I still haven’t finished that trilogy yet.

A Classic You’ve Always Liked The Sound Of, But Never Actually Read

1984 by George Orwell. I’ve been told really good things about this book, and I’ve also been told that I’d really like it, but I just haven’t picked it up yet, even though I know it’s a “staple”

A Popular Book That It Seems Everyone But You Has Read

Again, there have been several of these as well. I really feel like everyone (especially Sarah J Maas Fans) have read the new JLA: From Blood and Ash. I’ve been meaning to read this one (Felicia even gifted me the e book copy for my birthday) but I just haven’t had the time to read ebooks that aren’t arcs

A Book That Inspired A Film/TV Adaptation That You Really Love, But You Just Haven’t Read It Yet

Nos4a2 by Joe Hill. I’ve been obsessed with Jahkara Smith since her days on YouTube, so I got super excited when I saw she was cast in a show. While in London last year, I bought an autographed copy of the book, but I still haven’t read it. However, I haven’t missed a single episode so far. I’m hooked.

A Book You See All Over Instagram But You Haven’t Picked Up Yet

House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A Craig. This one has also been on my tbr (I received an arc of it) but I have not gotten around to reading it yet. Now that it’s been hyped so much, I’m almost worried to read it in fear that it won’t live up to my expectations

What books have you not read that you think you should have by now?
